Located soon, the store follows Teresa (Barbara Colen), who returns to her home in Bacurau, a town in the semi-dry Brazilian Devil, to attend her grandmother’s funeral. Upon arrival, Teresa immediately notices signs that Bakurau is in a difficult situation. The main benefits are lacking, mobile phone coverage fades, drinking water is cut off, and a truck arrives to deliver drinking water filled with bullet holes. It soon became clear that the corrupt government had completely left the village: Bakurau was not only literally wiped off the map, but its citizens were also attacked. As culprits, villagers must prepare organized resistance to avoid further harm.
