It has better performance than previous versions that don’t like the ribbon interface introduced in Office 2007, don’t you like Word 2013. Tape interface is back, but improved. Menu items have been moved to make the most commonly used functions more accessible. The ribbon menu item has received an aesthetic update to make it easier to distinguish from one, and there is also a ‘touch mode’ which makes Word 2013 much more touch-sensitive than previous versions. This mode is only available if you have a computer with a touch screen. The buttons increase, making it easier to select the welcome screen, redesigned to be more useful. You will find recently opened documents as well as some new templates. There is also a search box at the top where you can search the web for more templates. This is really easy, because Word 2013 doesn’t include all types of photo formats, now it’s even easier because Word 2013 can snap photos from your Flickr, Facebook, and SkyDrive accounts. Word 2013 also allows you to search for photos with Bing under a Creative Commons license. There is also a new guide for easier image placement and resizing in Word support. Also improved on Word 2013. PDF files now open in Word as if it were a Word document. You can convert Word documents to PDF, which keeps your formatting. Convert and open PDF in Word 2013 In Word 2013, you can download applications. Microsoft has an Office Store where you can download and install a variety of productivity tools, such as dictionaries. While some apps are useful, take up screen space, and don’t work well when multiple documents are in one, Word 2013 also becomes easier. You can still track changes, but if you have an Office 365 account, comments can be harmonized across everyone’s documents so anyone who collaborates on the document can access the latest version. Comments can be marked as finished and gray, making you happy with your current word processing program, and there may not be enough new features to make the upgrade to Word 2013 convincing. However, Word 2013 offers additional updates and features that make it the best version of word processor.
