He always longed to travel but never had the opportunity to stop Mr. rich skin flint. Potter took over the whole city. What prevented him from doing so was George’s modest construction and loan company, founded by his generous father. But on Christmas Eve, George’s uncle Billy lost $ 8,000 to the company when he planned to keep it in the bank. Potter finds the wrong money and hides it from Billy. When the bank inspector found out about the shortage that night, George realized that he would be held accountable and sent to prison and the company would collapse and eventually let Potter take over the city. Thought that his wife, their toddlers and other people he loved would feel better when he died, he is considering suicide.
