The film is written and directed by Schrader and follows William Tell (Isaac), a gamer and former soldier who decides to reform a young man who seeks revenge against a common enemy from the past. His spartan existence on the casino floor is destroyed when he meets Cirk, a sensitive and furious young man who seeks help in carrying out his plan of revenge against a military colonel.
