He recently served as the Chief Executive Officer of Nabil Bank Limited, Nepal’s first and largest commercial bank, from 2022 to 2025. and previously led Nepal Bangladesh Bank as CEO for a decade. A qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAI) and Certified Public Accountant (Australia) with a master's in financial Analysis from UNSW Australia, Mr. Dhungana has also held several directorial roles at Nepal Rastra Bank, where he specialized in microfinance, banking operations, and supervision. His leadership in the industry is further highlighted by his tenure as the President of the Nepal Bankers' Association and his receipt of the prestigious Prabal Jana Sewa Shree Medal in 2022 for his outstanding contributions to the banking sector.
